Agatha Christie’s Miss Marple Series
I recently discovered Agatha Christie’s Miss Marple as a tv movie on a flight to Melbourne (many thanks to entertainment library available on planes these days, something available even on Economy on many long haul flights nowadays, I think) and it sparked an interest in her books. On the same flight, I also watched a Hercule Poirot episode and rather disliked his stand-offishness but I resolved that I will at least give the books a chance when I am done with all the Miss Marple books.
So far I have read three and here I present the complete list and we shall see when I will manage to get my hands on every single one of these books as the library doesn’t appear to have them all (but perhaps some of them were loaned out when I checked the shelves) so fingers crossed!
The list: (links to Wikipedia pages – spoiler alert!)
- The Murder at the Vicarage (1930)
- The Body in the Library (1942)
- The Moving Finger (1943)
- A Murder is Announced (1950) Read: 17 June 2010
- They Do It with Mirrors, or Murder with Mirrors (1952)
- A Pocket Full of Rye (1953)
- 4.50 from Paddington, or What Mrs. McGillicuddy Saw! (1957) Read: 19 June 2010
- The Mirror Crack’d from Side to Side, or The Mirror Crack’d (1962) Read:
- A Caribbean Mystery (1964)
- At Bertram’s Hotel (1965)
- Nemesis (1971)
- Sleeping Murder (written around 1940, published 1976)
Wonder when I’ll be done?
